Ella Wharemate-Dobson

Ella has several years' experience working in social services in the community. With a Degree in Social Sciences and her experience in community work she has an understanding of the sensitivity and unique problems encountered by women and children needing help and advocacy.

Ella has over 20 years of experience facilitating programs of change within a variety of settings working with people from diverse racial, cultural, social and economic backgrounds. She was the chair of the previous Hamilton Women's Refuge and has been on the management team of Waikato Women's Refuge for over 10 years.
