There are many ways to donate to Women’s Refuge including one-off and monthly donations. We also accept donations of clothing, toys, cleaning products, mobile phones for wāhine to utilise in emergency situations, and more. Every year the Waikato Women Refuge helps more than 6,000 women and children affected by domestic violence.
Our service provides the support assistance for vulnerable women and children in the Waikato community.
Support Services:
- Around-the clock operation of six safe houses
- Community support programmes including advocacy, education other resources such as emergency supply kits
It costs more than $2,000,000 every year to deliver this critical service for the Waikato Community and we rely on the generosity of public and private funding to keep going.
